If we don’t accept your insurance we can provide you with a Superbill and you can submit it directly to your insurance company - many patients get all or part of their appointment reimbursed.

We recommend contacting your insurance company in advance to confirm whether you have out-of-network mental health benefits and what portion of the session fee may be reimbursed.

No, you don’t need a referral from another doctor.

Yes. Because of medical licensing rules, we can only see patients who are physically in Arizona and Colorado at the time of the appointment.

Yes. Our approach blends thoughtful medication management with psychotherapy when helpful. Some patients work with us for medications only, some for therapy only, and many choose a combination. If you aren’t sure what you’re looking for we can work together to figure out what makes the most sense for you. Much of the initial intake process will be focused on mutually determining what is the best fit for you given your history, your story, your struggles and your goals.

We only work with people 18 or older.

In some cases, yes. We prescribe medications like stimulants or benzodiazepines when they’re appropriate and safe, but only after a thorough evaluation (and after a genuine conversation about risks, benefits and alternatives.. These prescriptions require careful monitoring, and sometimes we’ll coordinate with your primary care provider for your safety.)

Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, just let us know at least 48 hours ahead of time so we can offer that time to someone else. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are charged the full fee for an intake appointment and $150 for a follow up appointment.
