As an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona, she mentors psychiatry residents and teaches psychotherapy approaches such as psychodynamic therapy, mentalization-based therapy (MBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), developing curriculums and providing supervision. She treats the full range of mental health challenges always grounded in thoughtful curiosity and collaborative partnership.

Known for her empathetic, inquisitive approach, Dr. Emerick believes in asking thoughtful questions and working alongside patients to build clear goals, stronger boundaries, and meaningful relationships. She combines gentle, precise use of medication with psychotherapy to help people understand themselves, reduce barriers, and create fulfilling lives.
